I remember being obsessed with the images in National Geographic magazines, the rest of my family would read them cover to cover while I took in all the pictures with absolute wonder. I come from a family of scientists and always thought of myself as the black sheep, but as I have grown up and developed my artistic practice, I have found more similarities than differences with art and science than I ever expected. I experiment, I observe, I document details and nuances which I find to be beautiful.

 

My practice has undergone many changes over the years, it continues to evolve and always will. I see the main thread in all my work to be 'beautiful insignificance'. I love detail, I love to discover magic in the everyday and the, perhaps contradictory therapy, that comes with obsession.
